Overview

Solary is a web-based game designed to make learning about the solar system more interactive and playful for a wide age range, from children to adults.

Instead of relying on standard mouse or keyboard input, the game uses hand tracking so players can interact with the experience through motion. That made the product feel more physical, engaging, and memorable for educational use.

What the product delivers

  • A 5-level learning game centered around solar system exploration
  • Hand-tracked gameplay powered by camera-based gesture input
  • An interactive 3D experience built to make science topics feel more approachable
  • Custom art-style assets that give the game a distinct visual identity
  • A browser-based format that keeps the experience easy to access without installing an app

Stack and delivery

The game was built with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with Three.js handling the 3D experience and Google MediaPipe powering the hand-tracking interactions.

My work covered the web implementation, gameplay interaction layer, and integration of custom visual assets into the final experience.
